Mary Scott Hunter is married to Jon Shultz, and they have three children. Her law practice is a mix of legal, compliance, and business. She served 10 years as an Air Force attorney in the JAG Corps and two terms as a state elected official on the Alabama State Board of Education. Mary Scott now serves on various volunteer boards. She loves to read, write, travel, and cook for family and friends.
Rachel Blackmon Bryars is a Birmingham, Alabama, native who currently lives in the Huntsville area after years living in Washington, D.C., Naples, Italy, and South Florida. She and her husband of 15 years have five children between the ages of 5 and 14. Rachel is a former television reporter who holds a master’s degree in communication with a political focus from The Johns Hopkins University. She has taught in multiple universities and is a widely published writer and frequent speaker and media guest. She is a former Alabama Policy Institute senior fellow, and is currently the managing partner of a communication consulting business and a columnist for Al.com and Reckon.
